RN - MedSurg/Tele | Location: Albemarle, NC

Assignment Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in MedSurg/Telemetry to join our team in Albemarle, NC. The ideal candidate will have experience managing patients with stroke, COPD, chest pain, altered mental status, and GI bleed diagnoses in a 27-bed unit. This position requires a nurse who is comfortable with high patient acuity and flexible to adapt to varying patient ratios.

• Shift: 0700-1900 and 1900-0700
• Assignment Length: Not provided
• Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2160 (negotiable)
• Local Candidate Policy: Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of the home unit
• Charting System: Epic
• Required Licenses/Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for patients with a variety of common medical conditions
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and interpret cardiac rhythms
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy
• Collaborate with CNAs and other healthcare team members
• Ensure accurate documentation using Epic EMR system

Qualifications

Required:

• 18 months of Med/Tele experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Proficiency in general Med/Tele skills including stroke management, chest tube and drain care, and cardiac rhythm interpretation
