RN - Operating Room | Travel | Illinois

Assignment Overview

Seeking a dedicated RN for the Operating Room unit. The ideal candidate should have significant experience in OR nursing, capable of handling a variety of cases from general to specialized surgeries. The role requires adaptability to shift schedules and call duties within an acute care setting.

Assignment Details

Facility Type: Acute Care
Shift Details: Rotating shifts, including nights, mid, and day shifts
Call Requirements: Approximately once per week; every 3rd to 4th weekend; holiday call as needed
Number of Openings: 1
Charting System: EPIC
Estimated gross weekly pay package: $3240 (negotiable)

Responsibilities

Provide perioperative care for various surgical specialties
Scrubbing is required for procedures
Work collaboratively with OR techs and CNAs
Assist in maintaining patient safety and sterility in the OR

Qualifications

Required:

Active RN licensure by the State Board of Nursing in Illinois
BLS certification (AHA)
Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience
Ability to meet the call response time requirements
