Assignment Overview

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a role in a high-acuity Emergency Room setting. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in an urban, Level I Trauma ED facility. This position includes exposure to a variety of patient age groups and conditions, making it an excellent opportunity for RNs seeking to expand their emergency care expertise.

Assignment Details

• Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2116.8 (negotiable)
• Shift: 3x12 Nights
• Patient Ratios: 1:4
• Floating required
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
• Local candidates accepted
• Charting System: Epic

Responsibilities

• Manage a patient caseload with a 1:4 ratio
• Provide care for a wide range of patient conditions from neonates to geriatrics
• Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans
• Administer emergency medications and perform life-saving procedures
• Care for ventilated patients and manage respiratory care devices
• Support trauma teams in managing Level I trauma cases
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Adhere to safety protocols and reporting requirements

Qualifications

Required:

• 1 year of experience in an urban, Level I Trauma ED
• Active IL RN license
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS certifications
• Experience with Epic charting system
• Experience managing dysrhythmias, performing intubations, and administering IV therapies

Preferred:

• Experience in a teaching hospital
• TNCC, CPI certifications
