RN - PCU | Travel | Monroe, NC

Assignment Overview

Join a dynamic Progressive Care Unit (PCU) team providing exceptional care to patients with conditions such as stroke, heart failure, and respiratory illnesses. This role requires a dedicated RN with strong critical care skills and at least 18 months of PCU experience. Perfect for those comfortable with high-acuity patients and flexible with floating within assigned regions.

Responsibilities

Manage critical care drips including insulin, nitroglycerin, and amiodarone
Perform stroke experience and cardiac rhythm interpretation
Provide care and management for tracheostomies, PIV starts, and chest tube management
Handle NGT placement and drain/tube management
Utilize PCA pumps appropriately

Qualifications

Required:

BLS and ACLS certifications
NIHSS certification
Minimum 18 months of PCU RN experience
General PCU skillset including stroke experience and cardiac rhythm interpretation
Experience with trach care and management
