Assignment Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specialized in Operating Room (OR) care for an acute care setting. This role requires excellent surgical nursing skills, proficiency with EPIC charting, and flexibility in scheduling. The ideal candidate should be adept in handling various surgical procedures including general, orthopedic, gynecological, podiatry, endoscopy, and ophthalmology cases.

Assignment Details

Unit: OR - Surgery - General (Major) - RN
Average number of cases per day: 20-30
Shifts: Monday-Friday 6:45am-3:15pm with 1-2 shifts at 9am-5:30pm per six-week schedule
Call Requirements: Weeknight call from 3:15pm-6:45am; Weekend call from Saturday 7am-Monday 7am
Call Response Time: 30 minutes
Estimated gross weekly pay package: $3240 (negotiable)
Charting System: EPIC
Scrub Color/Dress Code: Hospital provided
Unit/Department specific orientation provided as needed

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care during surgical procedures
Collaborate with surgical team and OR techs
Utilize EPIC for accurate charting and documentation
Participate in self-scheduling

Qualifications

Required:

BLS Certification (AHA)
Proficiency with EPIC charting system
Registered Nurse License (willing to wait for licensure)

Preferred:

ACLS Certification

PEL/VIP Job ID #65942689. Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
