Requirements
- ARRT (R) certification required
- Experience in diagnostic radiology including portable imaging, OR/surgical support, and ED trauma imaging
- Fluoroscopy experience preferred
- Proficient with GE radiography systems and familiarity with Cerner/RadNet workflows
- Able to work the 07:00–17:30 shift and participate in weekend rotation
- Able to float across imaging areas and function independently in a high-volume hospital setting
- NC state licensure or eligibility to obtain required state credentials
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging exams across modalities encountered on the unit (portable, trauma, fluoroscopic, and surgical/OR procedures)
- Operate and maintain GE imaging equipment and ensure image quality and patient safety
- Support emergency and trauma cases in the ED and assist surgical teams as needed
- Document procedures and patient information in Cerner/RadNet and follow hospital imaging protocols
- Work collaboratively with technologists, supervisors, and multidisciplinary clinical teams; adapt to varying staffing levels by shift
- Adhere to unit dress code (black scrubs), departmental policies, and infection control standards

Job Description
This is a travel Radiologic Technologist assignment in Asheville, NC for a single-position, 13-week contract beginning 04/20/2026 through 07/20/2026. The technologist will work 40 hours per week on the 07:00–17:30 shift in a high-acuity hospital imaging department that supports trauma, stroke, pediatric, and surgical services. Responsibilities include performing portable and diagnostic radiography, trauma and ED imaging, fluoroscopic and OR support, operating GE equipment, and documenting exams in Cerner/RadNet. The role requires ARRT (R) certification, the ability to float across imaging areas, participation in weekend rotations, and the ability to function both independently and as part of a team in a busy acute-care environment.
