Requirements
- ACLS certification required
- Prior experience as a cardiac catheterization scrub tech or in cath lab/IR procedures
- Able to scrub and assist in cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology cases
- Familiarity with Meditech and MacLab documentation systems preferred
- Must follow hospital dress code (hospital-issued scrubs provided)
- Ability to work Monday–Friday daytime schedule; may be asked to take call per facility needs
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the cath lab/IR procedural environment and instruments for cases
- Scrub and assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures
- Monitor and provide one-to-one patient care during procedures as required by unit protocols
- Accurately document procedures and patient information in Meditech and MacLab
- Follow unit-specific policies, sterile technique, and hospital safety standards
- Coordinate with RN and tech team members to support efficient workflow and patient experience

Job Description
This travel assignment is for a Special Procedures Technologist to work in a hospital cath lab and interventional radiology unit in Dulles, VA. The role is a daytime, Monday–Friday position (07:30–16:00) providing scrub tech support for cardiac catheterization and IR procedures. The technologist will prepare procedural rooms and equipment, assist physicians during cases, provide close patient monitoring during procedures, and complete documentation in Meditech and MacLab. ACLS certification and prior experience as a cardiac cath scrub tech are required. Hospital-issued scrubs are provided and the unit emphasizes adherence to unit policies and sterile technique. The assignment begins 12/29/2025.
