Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of cath lab experience with interventional assistance
- RCIS, RCES, or RT license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Experience with diagnostic and interventional procedures (LHC/RHC, PFO closure, Impella, IABP, Shockwave, Penumbra, EKOS, etc.)
- Familiarity with Philips Xper FD20/FD10 imaging systems preferred
- Experience with PACS/Merge and Meditech for documentation
- Able to participate in variable call rotation (typically 1–2 call shifts per week, may include weekends)
- Able to work day shift; unit is open to 4x10s or 8-hour shifts if needed
Responsibilities
- Assist the interventional team during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures and device placements
- Prepare procedure rooms, set up and maintain equipment and supplies, and ensure sterile technique
- Operate and troubleshoot cath lab imaging systems and ancillary devices under supervision
- Monitor patient status intra-procedure and provide direct technical support for devices (IABP, Impella, EKOS, etc.)
- Accurately document procedures and patient care in the EMR/PACS systems
- Participate in unit call rotation and provide coverage for variable weekend or after-hours needs
- Collaborate with cath lab RN and physician staff to maintain efficient, safe patient care

Job Description
This is a 13-week travel assignment for a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech beginning 04/20/2026 in Austin, TX. The role supports a busy cardiac catheterization lab on day shift (06:30–17:00) and includes participation in a variable on-call schedule. The clinician will assist with a wide range of diagnostic and interventional procedures, operate imaging equipment, prepare rooms and patients, monitor hemodynamics, and document care in PACS/Merge and Meditech. Candidates must have cath lab experience, an RCIS/RCES/RT credential, and current BLS/ACLS. The unit typically maintains a 1:1 patient ratio during procedures and uses advanced devices and systems, so calm, flexible clinicians with interventional experience are preferred.
