Requirements
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years recent experience in an acute care OR setting, including ortho/spine and joint replacement (knee and hip) procedures
- Ability to function as both scrub and circulator across multiple surgical service lines
- Comfortable with rotating weekends and a defined on-call schedule (includes weeknight and 24-hour weekend/holiday calls)
- PALS, CNOR, and prior charge RN experience preferred
- Proficient charting skills; experience with Meditech EMR preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care: assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate surgical patients throughout the operative experience
- Serve in scrub and circulator roles for a broad case mix (joint replacement, ENT, ortho, spine, urology, vascular, podiatry, thoracic, plastic surgery)
- Collaborate with anesthesia, surgical teams, techs, and coordinators to maintain safe patient care and flow
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to unit policies, procedures, and infection-control standards
- Participate in assigned call rotations and weekend coverage as required
- Follow unit dress code and professional standards (navy or royal blue scrubs acceptable)

Job Description
Travel Registered Nurse needed for a 13-week Operating Room assignment in Miami beginning 04/20/2026. This day-shift role (07:00–17:00, 40 hours/week) supports a busy surgical unit with a 3:1 patient ratio and a varied case mix that includes joint replacements, orthopedics, spine, and general surgical specialties. The position requires an RN able to scrub and circulate, handle intraoperative responsibilities, maintain thorough charting, and participate in an established on-call and weekend rotation. Candidates must have acute OR experience with orthopedics and joint replacement, current ACLS and BLS, and be comfortable working within a multidisciplinary team using Meditech EMR. One position available.
