Description

2+ years of recent Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer experience required. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program and be credentialed by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with active registrations in both Abdomen and OB/GYN. Must be proficient in patient preparation and positioning, selecting appropriate transducers, obtaining and reviewing pertinent patient history and clinical data, performing ultrasound examinations, evaluating images for technical quality, maintaining accurate radiology records, and assisting physicians with special ultrasound procedures and needle biopsies. Candidates must demonstrate strong patient care, communication, infection control, safety, and confidentiality practices, along with the ability to maintain equipment/supply requirements and follow departmental and hospital policies. BLS certification is required, and all certifications and registrations must remain active and current. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively in English and consistently provide compassionate, respectful, and professional patient care.
