Job Summary and Qualifications

Shift: Wednesday 7p-7a, Friday 11a-11p, Saturday 7p-7a

As a Surgical Technologist at HCA Healthcare, your skill, dedication, and impact help drive the success of every surgery. You’ll prepare the surgical suite and assist during operations while collaborating with a highly skilled team that values each member’s expertise. Your responsibilities will include: 

• Setting up and maintaining the surgical suite with instruments, supplies, and advanced equipment to ensure safe, seamless procedures 
• Assisting with patient transport, positioning, prepping, and draping while prioritizing comfort, privacy, and safety 
• Scrubbing in and partnering with the surgical team by providing instruments, handling specimens, and anticipating the team’s needs 
• Monitoring patients and surgical equipment throughout procedures, responding promptly and effectively to any concerns 
• Upholding sterile technique, completing room turnover efficiently, and supporting a high-performing, collaborative team environment 

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Certified Operating Room Technicians (CORT) 
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) preferred. 
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required upon hire. 
• In addition to meeting the requirements of an OR Tech I position, must also be competent to perform as first scrub in three of the four following specialty areas: Robotic, Total Joints, Neuro/Spine and Vascular Surgery.

Research Psychiatric Center is a 95+ bed facility. We offer acute inpatient, day treatment, and community-based outpatient behavioral healthcare.
