Job Title: Travel RN Case Manager
Location: Santa Monica, CA 90404
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (High Possibility of Extension)
Schedule: Day Shift | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Compensation Package:
Weekly Gross Pay: Up to $2,900/week
Taxable Pay: $800/week ($20/hour)
Weekly Housing & Meal Stipend: $2,100/week
Pay package is negotiable based on experience.
Responsibilities:
• Perform inpatient case management, care coordination, and utilization review.
• Complete admission reviews using InterQual Criteria.
• Coordinate discharge planning and transition of care.
• Assess patient needs and arrange DME, home health, rehabilitation, and post-acute services.
• Obtain prior authorizations and insurance approvals.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, social workers, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Develop and update individualized patient care plans.
• Document all case management activities accurately in Epic EMR.
• Manage a caseload of approximately 20 patients.
Required Qualifications:
• Active California RN License (Pending accepted).
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care inpatient RN Case Management experience.
• Current inpatient Case Manager experience within the last 6 months.
• Previous travel nursing experience is strongly preferred. Seasoned travel RN Case Managers are preferred; candidates with limited travel experience may still be considered based on the hiring manager's review.
• Strong knowledge of Epic EMR and InterQual Criteria.
• Experience with care coordination, admission reviews, discharge planning, utilization review, and prior authorizations.
• Willing to float between Providence facilities as needed.
• Ability to work every other weekend (minimum 2 weekend shifts every 4 weeks).
