Lila Medlink is seeking an experienced Chief Cytology Technologist to lead a high-performing Cytology department at a respected hospital in White Plains, NY. Position Details
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Location: White Plains, NY
Department: Cytology
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Shift: Days (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Compensation
Annual Salary: $128,349 – $165,009
$30,000 Sign-On Bonus

Responsibilities
Supervise the daily operations of the Cytology department.
Ensure high-quality laboratory services and regulatory compliance.
Review and evaluate gynecological and non-gynecological cytology specimens.
Oversee fine needle aspiration (FNA) specimen processing.
Mentor and support laboratory staff while maintaining quality assurance standards.
Collaborate with pathologists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide exceptional patient care.

Qualifications
Bachelor of Science Degree required
ASCP Registry and/or completion of an accredited Cytology School Program
Current New York State Cytology License
Previous supervisory experience required
Minimum 3 years of experience screening:
Gynecological specimens
Non-gynecological specimens
Fine Needle Aspirations (FNA)
ThinPrep Certification
Flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
