Job Description:

*****Urgent Need for Experienced CT/XR Tech*****The Radiologic Technologist must be able to demonstrate the knowledge andskills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients service on his or her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patients needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the units/area/departments policies and procedures. Is responsible to detect, observe and report compliance variances to their immediate supervisor, or upward through the chain of command, the Compliance Officer or hospital hotline.CUSTOMER SERVICEAll employees must adhere to the Mission, Vision, and Key Values of SEARHC.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSMust provide radiographic examination of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation. Must exercise professional judgement in performance of procedures applying principles of radiation protection.Perform diagnostic medical radiography within department and other areas.Maintain patient records and files.Assume responsibility for departmental quality assurance program.Pursue continuing education.Transfer patient to and from radiology.Rotate shifts as required.Perform ancillary duties as requested by supervisor.Follow policies and procedures as set up by SEARHC Administration.Assist in general hygiene of department and self.Should be able to work well in situations of stress.Must be willing to able to take call and report to work within 20 minutes.Able and willing to perform other duties as assignedEducation, Certifications, and Licenses Required:High School Diploma or GEDCompletion of a CT/XR training programCurrent ARRT in RadiographyCertifications: ARRT (CT, XR) Minimum 1 year experience

***Pertains to Travel OB RN's:The nurse is on-call for 7 days in a row, 12 hours each day. The RN will receive a guaranteed 40 hours for the week. The nurse will not receive on-call or call back pay since they are already "on-call". The on-call nurse will have 30 minutes to respond to any page and cannot leave the island. On-call will rotate through staff every week, so each nurse will be on-call every 3 weeks.***
