Description

Specialty: CT Technologist
Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts, Monday–Wednesday from 6:30 p.m.–6:30 a.m.; 36 hours per week
Weekends: None
On Call: None
Holiday Requirements: Must work holidays that fall on a regularly scheduled day
Facility: 228-bed Level IV Trauma Center, Level III NICU, Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center, and teaching hospital
Department Details: 2 CT suites averaging approximately 100 patients per day
Required Experience: Minimum 2 years of CT experience
Traveler Experience: First-time travelers accepted with prior trauma experience
Required Certifications/Licenses: BLS, ARRT, and Wisconsin radiologic technologist license
Required Skills: General CT, stroke, oncology, and trauma imaging
Patient Population: Primarily young adult through geriatric patients
Department Staffing: 3 CT Technologists per shift
Support Staff: Transporter, lead technologist, daytime manager, Rapid Response and Code Team, and 24/7 respiratory therapy
Radiology Coverage: Onsite radiologist during the day and remote reading coverage overnight
Documentation System: EPIC
Technology/Equipment: Canon 80-slice and GE 40-slice CT scanners, McKesson PACS, and Pyxis medication dispensing
