CT Technologist
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts, 20 hours per week
• Regular Schedule: Every Monday and Tuesday
• CT Week Hours: 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
• X-Ray Week Hours: 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
• Weekend Rotation: Every fourth weekend, 6:45 a.m.–3:15 p.m.
• On Call: One full week approximately every 10 weeks
• Call Hours: Monday–Thursday, 11:30 p.m.–6:30 a.m.; weekend call runs Friday night through Monday morning, 11:30 p.m.–6:30 a.m.
• Holiday Requirements: No holidays required during the initial 13-week contract; holiday rotation may apply if extended
• Facility: 64-bed community hospital
• Department Details: One CT scanner and one general X-ray room
• Required Experience: Minimum 1 year of CT and X-ray experience
• Traveler Experience: First-time travelers are not accepted
• Required Certifications/Licenses: BLS, ARRT(CT), and Wisconsin radiologic technologist license
• Required Skills: Must work independently in CT, fluoroscopy, surgery, and general X-ray
• Preferred Skills: Strong IV-starting skills
• Patient Population: Inpatient, outpatient, emergency department, and operating room patients
• Typical Exams: General CT scans, cardiac imaging, angiograms, CTA, stroke imaging, and contrast-enhanced studies
• Procedures: No Interventional Radiology procedures or biopsies
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Workflow: CT cases are scheduled in approximately 30-minute blocks; staffing typically includes two CT technologists, with one technologist working independently on third shift
• Department Support: Department supervisor, other radiology technologists, daytime receptionist, 24/7 hospitalist and respiratory therapy coverage, and Code Team
• Documentation System: EPIC experience preferred
• Technology/Equipment: GE Optima 360, McKesson PACS, Pyxis, and i-STAT
• Floating: Rotates between CT and X-ray within the facility; optional floating to an affiliated site approximately 20 minutes away
