Travel NICU RN – Charlotte, NC | Up to $2,245/Week | 3x12 Nights

Nexus MedPro Staffing is seeking an experienced NICU RN for a 20-week travel assignment with a reputable healthcare system in Charlotte, North Carolina.

This opportunity requires at least 3 years of Level III or Level IV NICU experience.

Assignment Details
Pay: Up to $2,245/week*
Start Date: September 14, 2026
Contract: 20 weeks
Schedule: 3x12 Nights
Shift: 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
Hours: 36 hours/week
Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:2–4
Self-Scheduling
Floating: May float to Peds/PICU/Nursery to care for infants up to 12 months
Travel Experience: Not required
Orientation: 24 hours
RTO: 1 pre-approved request
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of Level III or Level IV NICU experience – HARD STOP
BLS required
NRP required
NICU Level III/IV experience
UAC/UVC management
Central/implanted line care
Ventilator management, including CPAP/BiPAP/PEEP
Nitric oxide
IV vasopressors
Dysrhythmia interpretation/management
Thermoregulation
Feeding tube management
Gavage, bottle and breast feeding
Therapeutic hypothermia
Tracheostomy care
Ostomy care

High-risk delivery, ECMO and ICP monitoring experience are preferred.

About the NICU

This high-acuity NICU cares for critically ill neonates, including:

Extremely premature infants as early as 22 weeks
Surgical infants
Infants with hypoxic injuries
Infants requiring therapeutic hypothermia
Complex respiratory patients
Infants requiring nitric oxide
UAC/UVC and advanced central-line management
Tracheostomy and ostomy patients

Specialized equipment includes Servo ventilators, HFOV, BCPAP, RAM nasal cannula, Tecotherm, Giraffe and Baby Leo systems.

Weekend Requirement

During each 6-week scheduling period, travelers are expected to work 3 Fridays, 3 Saturdays and 3 Sundays.
