Job Overview

We are seeking experienced and compassionate Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurses (ER RNs) to provide high-quality care to patients in fast-paced emergency departments. The ER RN will assess patients, prioritize care based on acuity, respond to emergencies, administer treatments and medications, and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities
Assess patients upon arrival and determine priorities based on condition and acuity.
Provide direct nursing care to patients with a wide range of medical and traumatic conditions.
Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygen levels, and changes in patient condition.
Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and treatments as ordered.
Initiate and assist with emergency interventions and life-saving procedures.
Perform wound care, splinting, catheterization, and other emergency procedures as appropriate.
Recognize signs of patient deterioration and respond quickly to changes in condition.
Assist physicians with procedures, examinations, and treatments.
Provide care for patients experiencing trauma, cardiac events, respiratory distress, stroke, infections, and other emergencies.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Follow hospital policies, infection-control procedures, and patient-safety standards.
Safely transfer and hand off patients to inpatient units, surgery, ICU, or other appropriate departments.
Requirements
Active RN license in the state of assignment.
2+ years of recent Emergency Room/ED nursing experience preferred.
Current BLS certification.
ACLS certification required.
PALS certification may be required depending on the facility.
Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced emergency environment.
Previous travel nursing experience preferred, but first-time travelers may be considered depending on the assignment.
