Special Education Teacher (Sub-Separate Classroom – K–2)
Location: Bourne, MA
Type: Full-Time | Contract
Pay: Up to $58/hour
Start Date: ASAP – June 17

Connected Health Care is proud to partner with a fantastic district in Bourne, Massachusetts, that is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join their team supporting students in grades K–2. About the Role:

The selected educator will serve as the Sub-Separate Special Education Teacher for a small group of approximately five students. These students have more intensive academic and behavioral needs and receive services both in the general education setting and in a dedicated pull-out classroom.

This position is ideal for a teacher who brings creativity, structure, and compassion to their instruction, and who values individualized learning and collaboration with general education staff, paraprofessionals, and related service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals and district curriculum standards.

• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure inclusive practices.

• Develop and implement behavior support strategies tailored to student needs.

• Track progress, complete required documentation, and communicate effectively with parents and the IEP team.

• Create a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes both academic and social growth.

Qualifications:

• Valid Massachusetts Special Education Teaching License (Moderate or Severe Disabilities).

• Experience working with elementary students in a sub-separate or resource setting preferred.

• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.

• Ability to adapt instruction to meet a range of learning and behavioral needs.
