Special Education Teacher (Sub-Separate Classroom – K–2)
Location: Bourne, MA
Type: Full-Time | Contract
Pay: Up to $58/hour
Start Date: ASAP – June 17
Connected Health Care is proud to partner with a fantastic district in Bourne, Massachusetts, that is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join their team supporting students in grades K–2. About the Role:
The selected educator will serve as the Sub-Separate Special Education Teacher for a small group of approximately five students. These students have more intensive academic and behavioral needs and receive services both in the general education setting and in a dedicated pull-out classroom.
This position is ideal for a teacher who brings creativity, structure, and compassion to their instruction, and who values individualized learning and collaboration with general education staff, paraprofessionals, and related service providers.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals and district curriculum standards.

Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure inclusive practices.

Develop and implement behavior support strategies tailored to student needs.

Track progress, complete required documentation, and communicate effectively with parents and the IEP team.

Create a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes both academic and social growth.
Qualifications:

Valid Massachusetts Special Education Teaching License (Moderate or Severe Disabilities).

Experience working with elementary students in a sub-separate or resource setting preferred.

Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.

Ability to adapt instruction to meet a range of learning and behavioral needs.
