Job Requirements

• Education Requirements: Valid LPN license from an accredited program
• Certifications Requirements: IL LPN License, CPR certification, Basic Life Support (BLS), First Aid Certification
• Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of corrections experience, familiarity with correctional facility protocols, experience working with diverse inmate populations
• Other Requirements: Ability to work night shifts, strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to handle high-pressure situations

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to inmates within correctional facilities, adhering to facility guidelines and protocols.
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and progress accurately in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members and correctional staff to coordinate inmate healthcare services effectively.
• Maintain safety and security standards while delivering compassionate nursing care in a challenging environment.
• Execute emergency procedures and respond promptly to medical situations during night shifts.
