Travel/Contract Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

Job Requirements
  • Education Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or an equivalent nursing degree from an accredited institution
  • Certifications Requirements: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
  • Experience Requirements: 2-3 years of ICU experience in a hospital setting; experience with ICU equipment and patient management
  • Other Requirements: Ability to interpret strips and ventilator settings, proficiency in line management, bedside nursing skills, and comfort with floating to other units as needed

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive ICU nursing care to critically ill patients, including ventilated and post-cardiac arrest cases
  • Interpret and monitor patient vital signs, including reading ECG strips and managing ventilator settings
  • Administer medications, perform line management, and perform bedside procedures such as chest tube management and proning
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including RT, hospitalists, and ICU educators, to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and other monitored systems, ensuring timely and precise recordkeeping
