Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Rapid Response RN in the Emergency Department (ER) in Independence, MO. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. The role is critical in providing high-quality care to patients in urgent need.

Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: 40+
• Number of Staff: 120+
• Patient Ratios: 4:1 (3 rooms and 1 hall bed in high volume)
• Type of Equipment: Cardiac monitors, EKGs, Ultrasound, Belmont Rapid Infuser, IO Drills, Lifepak, etc.
• EMR: Meditech

Typical Procedures Performed:

• IV starts and phlebotomy
• Cardiac Monitoring/Interpretation

Required Certifications:

• ACLS
• BLS
• TNCC
• ENPC
• CPI (required by 9/30)

Skill Set:

• Must Have: Adaptability, Team player
• Preferred: High-pressure experience in previous job, Previous medical experience (RN, Medic, Technician, etc.)

Best Personality Fit: Outgoing and positive under pressure

Dress Code:

• RN: Gray scrub top, black or gray scrub bottoms
• Medic: Gray scrub top, black or gray scrub bottoms
• EDT/Secretary: Caribbean blue scrub top, Caribbean blue or black scrub bottoms
