Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Labor & Delivery (L&D) RN in Salinas, CA. This facility is a Level II Trauma Center and the only Trauma Center in Monterey County, providing exceptional care to a diverse patient population. As an L&D RN, you will be part of a dedicated team managing high-risk patients, with a focus on delivering quality care in a supportive environment. The unit includes 8 Labor, Delivery, Recovery (LDR) rooms, 2 Triage rooms (serving as Pre-Op for C-Sections), 2 Operating Rooms (OR), and 2 Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) beds. The hospital follows AWHONN’s Standards for Professional Registered Nurse Staffing, ensuring optimal nurse-to-patient ratios based on patient needs.

Key responsibilities include:

Providing comprehensive care for patients in labor and delivery
Monitoring high-risk patients, including those on magnesium or insulin drips
Following patients through their entire care process during scheduled C-Sections
Adhering to hospital protocols for inductions and external versions

This position offers 12-hour night shifts, with a schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, ensuring a balanced work-life experience. The hospital is flexible on compliance to facilitate timely start dates and offers weekly orientation sessions on Mondays.
