Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Med-Surg RN in Morgantown, WV. This contract position requires a dedicated and skilled nurse to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced environment. The unit specializes in Neurosciences, including patients with Deep Brain Stimulators, strokes, seizures, and post-operative spinal care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care for a patient population with neurological disorders.
• Work with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 on the floor.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care and verify monitor tech's strip readings in Epic.
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as required.

Required Certifications:

• BLS and NIHSS certification required at the time of submission.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Experience and Skills:

• Strong background in Neuro nursing is essential.
• Proficiency with G-tubes and recent Epic experience is required.
• Familiarity with titratable drips (e.g., Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro) is preferred.

This position offers the opportunity to work with a supportive team, including charge nurses and house supervisors available 24/7. The unit has respiratory therapy available around the clock, and RNs are not required to have vent experience. Flexibility is key, as travelers may float to other units as needed.
