Join a leading acute-care hospital in Madison, WI, as a PICU Registered Nurse. This position offers an opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility, providing family-centered care to critically ill or injured children and their families in a 21-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
As a PICU Registered Nurse, you will:
- Provide comprehensive care for patients with a variety of medical and surgical issues, including acute head injuries, critical neurological disorders, pulmonary diseases, cardiac anomalies, organ transplantation, multi-system organ failure, and ECMO.
- Be part of a highly skilled and committed multidisciplinary team, dedicated to enhancing the healing experience for pediatric patients.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience: Pediatric ICU experience required, with solid experience in PICU and some CV ICU or cardiac step-down or general cardiac experience. A minimum of two years of acute care experience within the last three years is necessary.
- Licensure and Certification: Must have a Wisconsin Registered Nurse license or compact license from the permanent address state. BLS and PALS certifications must be through the American Heart Association only.
- Education: A baccalaureate degree in nursing is preferred.
- Telemetry: Basic Arrhythmia experience is required, and the traveler will need to pass a Telemetry test prior to starting (not applicable for clinic positions).
Travelers must have a permanent address that is 50 miles from the assigned primary work site location. Flexibility is essential, as travelers may be scheduled in multiple units based on staffing needs. Parking permits are required through UW Transportation if parking onsite.
