Are you a dedicated Respiratory Therapist with a passion for neurology? Join a leading acute-care hospital in Columbus, GA, as an RRT specializing in Neuro Diagnostics. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing care to a diverse patient population from infants to geriatrics.

Minimum Experience: 1 year; 1st timers are accepted

Patient Population: Infants to Geriatrics (Primarily Adult RRT but will work with Pediatric intubated patients)

Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, GA RRT License

General Skills and Work Setting Requirements: The facility is a level 2 trauma center, interventional stroke certified, as well as a level 3 NICU. Our NICU serves as the regional transport resource. Responsibilities include managing non-invasive ventilation, conventional ventilation, aerosol therapy, bedside pulmonary function tests, performing arterial lines, oxygen management, patient education, and conducting arterial blood gases and capillary blood gases.

Trauma experience required; Pulmonary function testing (Spirometry testing) preferred.

Unit Systems: Epic, Pyxis, SBAR, Viasys Vela, GE Carescape, Viaysis Avea

Scrub Color: Slate Gray

RTO: MAX 7 days

Weekends: Every other weekend unless specified otherwise

Floating: Yes, within facility and sister campus as needed (Piedmont Columbus Northside)

Call Requirements: None

Holidays: If one major holiday falls during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work both. For three major holidays, the traveler is expected to work two.

Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant, the push back is 2 weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.

Locals Accepted: Same Rate

Please Note: The number of Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) Hours is determined by contract length (e.g., 8 hours for an 8-week assignment; 19 hours for a 19-week assignment).
