Join our team as a Float Pool Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a leading acute-care hospital in Augusta, GA. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated RN looking to make a difference in patient care while enjoying the flexibility of a float position.

Minimum Experience: 1 year; first-time travelers are accepted.

Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics.

Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NIH.

General Skills and Work Setting Requirements: Proficient in managing MS, MS Tele, and PCU diagnoses. Floating is required to all MS, MS/Tele, and PCU units within the hospital.

Ratio / Census: 1:4-5 PCU; 1:5-6 MS, MS Tele.

Unit Systems: Epic (Required), Pyxis, SBAR.

Scrub Color: Navy Blue.

RTO: Maximum of 7 days.

Weekends: Every other weekend (average 6 weekends in a 13-week contract).

Floating: Required.

Call Requirements: None.

Holidays: If one major holiday falls within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays occur, the traveler is expected to work both. If three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major Holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day.

Compliance: Full compliance is required to start on time; if not compliant in time, the push back is 2 weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.

Aya Offer: Once the candidate has signed and confirmation has been sent, the manager has 48 hours to review the profile/confirmation and determine if unit/schedule/expertise fit. The Aya Offer is only available if the clinical pass is within RTO guidelines and meets specific facility requirements. Locals are accepted at the same rate.

Please note: The number of Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) Hours is determined by contract length (e.g., 8 hours for an 8-week assignment; 19 hours for a 19-week assignment).
