We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ICU Registered Nurse to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This is a contract position that requires recent ICU experience. As an ICU RN, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized care to critically ill patients. Your expertise will be essential in managing complex medical conditions and ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Required Skills / Certifications / Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience
• Traveler experience accepted; first-time travelers welcome
• IV Start, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry
• Titration of Cardiac Drips, Use of Rapid Response Teams
• Feeding Tube Management, Heparin Protocols, PCA, CVA
• Certifications: ACLS, BCLS

Preferred Skills / Certifications / Experience:

• Experience in MS/Tele, Titrating Vasoactive Drips
• Care of Ventilated Patients, Wound Care/Wound Vac
• Certification: NHISS

Job Details:

• Patient Ratios: 1:4
• 36 hours can be offered
• Float Requirement: Required to float to Med Surg (1:6 Ratio)
• Weekend Requirement: At least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

Patient Diagnoses: The Intermediate Critical Care Unit provides specialized care for patients with conditions including DKA, Sickle Cell, Sepsis, Respiratory Distress, Pneumonia, Heart Failure, Stroke, and stroke-like symptoms.

Special Procedures / Unit Details: The unit functions as a Rapid Response RN, utilizing specialized equipment such as Bipap, Cpap, and Optiflow. Unit systems include PYXSIS and EPIC.

Scheduling Type: Self-scheduling that is balanced and approved by a staffer.

Unit Orientation: 36 hours of orientation provided.

Scrubs: All navy or navy and white.
