Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) in Indianapolis, IN. This contract position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on maternal and neonatal care. We are looking for dedicated professionals who are passionate about providing high-quality care to expectant mothers and their newborns.

Position/Specialty: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)

Shift Requirements: 3x12 Night Shifts (19:00 - 07:30)

Experience Required: 1.5 Years

Certifications Required: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Course

Local Candidates: Not accepted

Floating Requirements: May float to the Emergency Department, providing OB-specific care alongside a primary RN. On the first shift at the floating location, nurses are asked to arrive 30 minutes early for a quick orientation to the unit and supplies.

RTO Restrictions: Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.

Special Requirements: L&D travel experience preferred. Facility averages 200-300 births per month. Skills required include:

• Non-Stress Tests (NST)
• Reflex checks / edema assessment / clonus
• External Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM)
• Management of high-risk conditions (e.g., Diabetes, Pre-eclampsia, Premature Rupture of Membranes)
• Assisting with vaginal and C-section deliveries
• Neonatal Resuscitation and care
• Administration of medications and IV therapy

Unit Information: L&D patients. Effective 11/30/24, Indiana RNs will not be allowed to work at this facility, with certain exceptions for perioperative and allied health travelers.
