• Skills: Med/Surg; MS/Tele; Interpretation of dysrhythmias; Management of dysrhythmias; Telemetry - remote monitoring; Use of Rapid Response/Code teams; Bowel obstruction; Colostomy/ileostomy management/care; Feeding tube care and management; Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management; Renal failure; Blood Product Administration; Central line blood draw; Peripheral Line Care/Management; Phlebotomy; PICC line management; Starting and maintaining IVs; Heparin; Insulin; PCA; Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac; BiPAP/CPAP management/maintenance; High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC); Nasal Cannula; Non-invasive airway management; Oral suctioning; Oxygen administration; Oxygen tanks; Isolation Precautions/PPE; Wound Care/Wound Vac
• Certifications: BLS; NIHSS

PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

• Charge experience preferred
• ACLS; Telemetry; Telemetry - on the unit monitoring; Post Angiogram; Post cardiac surgery; Post MI; IV insulin protocols; Bariatric surgery; Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI); Accessing/Managing Ports; CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident); Substance Withdrawal; Surgical drains; Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs); Pre/Post Thoracic Surgery; Tracheostomy care/management; Previous Charge Experience; Electronic Documentation; Community Hospital Experience

JOB DETAILS:

• Ratios: 1:6
• Shift: nights 1845-0715 - 36 or 48 hours shifts accepted
• Contract Duration: 13-26 week contracts accepted
• RTO: 7 days MAX
• Call Requirement: No
• Float Requirement: Yes; traveler may be required to float to main campus, NHRMC 32 minutes away
• Weekend Requirement: Every Other

Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed.

PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Including but not limited to: Diabetes, dementia, COVID, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, encephalopathy, GI bleed, anemia, hip fracture, CHF, UTI, various surgical recovery cases, renal failure, hypertension, cellulitis, failure to thrive.

UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): Pyxis

SCHEDULING TYPE: Self

UNIT ORIENTATION: 24 hours

SCRUBS: Navy Blue or white

INTERVIEW AVAILABILITY: Please provide your candidate's interview availability for the next 72 hours while submitting; Manager will not offer without speaking to the candidate first.

HARDSTOP: 2 years of experience; 7 days MAX RTO per contract; Must be able to work holidays; No block schedules unless a weekend block.
