Join a dedicated team in a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN specializing in Labor & Delivery (L&D) in Dickson, TN. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive environment with experienced staff, contributing to the care of mothers and newborns.

Unit Specifics:

• Number of Beds: LDRP 9 beds, OBED 1 bed, NICU 4 beds, 1 OR suite
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 for active labors, inductions, C-sections, couplet care 1:3, newborns 1:1 until stable, NICU 1:3 intermediate care (2 NICU nurses must be present if there are patients)
• Type of Equipment: CPN Central monitoring, IV pumps, infant warmers, tele-med robot for neonatologist, bili-blankets, PCA pumps
• Documentation System: Meditech and CPN
• Floating Policy: Regular staff may float within the facility as needed; some staff are cross-trained between LDRP & NICU

Hiring Profile:

• Must Have: Labor and delivery experience, ability to labor and recover mothers, transition newborns, and perform assessments.
• Preferred Skills: Experience with shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage, and other OB emergencies.
• Advanced Skills Needed: Fetal monitoring education, experience with inductions (Pitocin, cervidil).
• Certifications Required: BLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring training.

Dress Code: Pink and/or brown scrubs required per the infant security policy for the unit.

Awards/Recognition: The unit has a team of seasoned RNs with approximately 30 years of experience each, providing excellent resources and preceptorship. The collaborative team environment ensures support and guidance for all staff members.
