Join our team as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) at a leading acute-care hospital in Lee's Summit, MO. We are seeking dedicated professionals to provide exceptional care in a dynamic Labor & Delivery (L&D) environment. This contract position offers the opportunity to work with a skilled team of healthcare providers committed to delivering high-quality maternal care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care to patients during labor and delivery, including antepartum and postpartum care.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs using advanced fetal monitoring technology.
• Assist with labor and delivery procedures, including vaginal deliveries and C-sections.
• Perform assessments, triage obstetrical patients, and manage high-risk deliveries.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products as needed.
• Support breastfeeding and lactation needs for new mothers.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Certifications required: BLS, FHM, NRP.
• Ability to work 4-5 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period, including a minimum of 2 Sunday night shifts and 2 Friday day shifts.
• On-call requirement: 2 on-call shifts per 6-week schedule period.
• Must be willing to float within scope to meet facility needs.
• Pending licenses accepted; local candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility.
• Experience in LDRP preferred, but LD/LDR experience will be considered.

The L&D unit houses antepartum and intrapartum patients with a nurse-to-patient ratio typically at 1:1, depending on patient acuity. Our facility includes 11 labor rooms, 5 triage rooms, and a postpartum unit with 15 rooms, ensuring comprehensive care for mothers and newborns.
