Join our team as a Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse at a leading acute-care hospital in Lee's Summit, MO. We are seeking dedicated RNs with a passion for patient care and a commitment to excellence. This is a contract position with a focus on providing high-quality care in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care in a Med Surg/Telemetry setting, including monitoring cardiac rhythms and managing dysrhythmias.
• Administer medications and IV therapy, including blood product administration and central line management.
• Perform assessments and interventions for a variety of conditions, including cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, and neurological issues.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Participate in rapid response teams and emergency care as needed.

Requirements:

• 2 years of experience in a Med Surg/Telemetry setting required; community hospital experience preferred.
• Charge experience preferred but not mandatory; first-timers are welcome to apply.
• Certifications required: BLS, NIHSS, ACLS; CPI preferred.
• Ability to float between departments and units as needed.
• Must be able to work 8 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule period.
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac care.
• Knowledge of IV therapy, phlebotomy, and wound care.
• Ability to manage patients with complex medical needs, including those requiring hemodialysis and post-cardiac procedures.
