We are seeking a dedicated and skilled RN for a Patient Care Unit specializing in Telemetry at a leading acute-care hospital in Alliance, NE. This contract position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a diverse patient population.

The Patient Care Unit is a 25 private-bed unit (23 beds on the floor, 2 Medical Decision Unit beds) focusing on patients with COPD exacerbation, CHF, and other complex medical needs. The average stay is 12 days, allowing for local care of patients requiring long-term antibiotics, wound care, and post-operative care, including some postpartum and pediatric patients.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing high-quality nursing care to a patient ratio of 1:4, with 1:5 being a stretch.
• Monitoring patients using central telemetry and portable tele monitors.
• Collaborating with a team that includes social services and case managers available on the floor.
• Utilizing Meditech Expanse for charting and managing medication with Alaris pumps.
• Ensuring excellent therapy services are provided, with patients seen several times a day.

This position requires reliable transportation, as Alliance, NE does not have Uber or Lyft services. A Charge Nurse is available on every shift and does not take patients, ensuring support for the nursing staff.
