Unit Highlights:

• Unit: 2 South (610)
• Classification: RN - Med/Tele (ACLS REQUIRED)
• Weekend Requirements: Rotating
• Call Requirements: No

Special Skills/Experience Required:

• 2 years + Med/Surg specialty experience
• 2 years + hospital experience

Certifications:

• BLS & ACLS required
• Active TX RN License (temporary licenses are NOT accepted)
• Compact RN License - Active

Documentation System: Meditech

Floating Policy: As needed

Responsibilities:

The Travel RN will be responsible for decisions and actions within the domain of nursing practice, promoting a safe and therapeutic environment for both patients and providers. Key responsibilities include:

• Acquisition of specialized knowledge and skills to provide care
• Demonstration of competence in nursing practice
• Clinical practice consistent with facility policies and standards
• Supervision of other staff as designated within the department

Dress Code:

• Scrub Color: Navy Blue with Med City Embroidery (Proof of Purchase REQUIRED)
• Nail Policy: Clean and healthy; no artificial nails, gel, etc.
• Hair: Neat and clean, pulled back if shoulder length or longer
• Tattoos: Should be covered whenever possible
• Piercings: Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
