We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Stepdown Cardiac Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Lynchburg, VA. This contract position is perfect for RNs looking to work in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Step Down setting. As a Cardiac Stepdown RN, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to patients recovering from cardiac procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to patients in the Stepdown unit.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the medical team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery plans.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
- First-time travelers not accepted.
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
- Licensure: Candidates with pending certifications will be considered.
- Scrubs: Any color, professional appearance; child-friendly print tops allowed; scrub/lab coat permitted.
This position follows a 60-mile radius rule and includes biweekly orientation on Mondays.
