Join a leading acute-care hospital as an Emergency Department RN in Lewiston, ME. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your skills and expertise will make a significant impact on patient care. As an essential member of the patient care team, you will be responsible for delivering direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in all areas of the unit.

The Emergency Department provides a full spectrum of emergency care, including a dedicated Chest Pain Center. Your role will involve assessing patients upon admission and throughout their stay, administering IV medications, therapies, and blood as needed, providing patient education, and meticulously documenting nursing care actions, teaching, observations, and patient responses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Assess patients during admission and throughout their stay.
• Administer IV medications, therapies, and blood as required.
• Provide patient education and document nursing care actions.
• Be willing to take on charge nurse and preceptor roles if needed.

Requirements:

• BLS/ACLS/PALS certification required.
• At least 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department setting.
• 1+ year previous critical care nursing experience required.
• Must not be a previous employee of the facility.
• Local travelers will receive a $10/hr lower local rate.
• Travelers with hits/actions on License/Background will not be accepted.
