This position will primarily be OB RN Labor & Delivery but must be able to float to the Med Surg floor when OB is closed. Responsibilities for the OB RN Labor & Delivery traveler include:

• The L&D RN monitors maternal and fetal wellbeing, manages labor progression, assists with deliveries, and responds promptly to obstetric emergencies.
• This role requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and the ability to provide emotional support to patients and families during one of the most significant moments of their lives.
• Provides for safe, efficient and caring nursing services to achieve high standards of patient care for Labor & Delivery and Obstetrics.
• Includes administering medications, performing cervical exams within scope, interpreting fetal monitoring strips, preparing patients for operative deliveries, and providing postpartum education.
• This nurse plays a critical role in promoting a positive birth experience and ensuring optimal outcomes for both mother and newborn.
• Must have experience in both Labor & Delivery.
• Must be able/willing to float to the Med Surg floor when OB is closed.
• Current Montana RN license required.
• NRP certification required.
• BLS certification required.
