Join our team as a Clinical Lab Scientist in the vibrant city of Orange, CA. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity for seasoned professionals in the laboratory specialty. We are seeking a dedicated individual with a strong background in blood bank operations to work independently during night shifts at a leading acute care hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-volume type/screen and crossmatch tests with confidence and accuracy.
• Work independently in a fast-paced environment, managing 30-50 samples a day.
• Utilize your expertise in blood bank software and instrumentation, preferably Wellsky and Immucor.
• Collaborate with clinicians while ensuring compliance with hospital protocols.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a blood bank setting (hard stop).
• Recent/current experience within the last 2 years is required.
• ASCP-BB certification is mandatory.
• Experience in a large hospital (300+ beds) is essential.
• Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays.

Additional Information:

• Guaranteed hours: The facility can call off once per two-week pay period.
• Local radius: 50 miles for local rates.
• Free parking available for all staff.
