Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN in the ICU department. This position is located in Los Alamos, NM, and offers a unique opportunity to work in a 47-bed facility that serves the Northern New Mexico community. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care within the ICU setting.

Position Information:

• Role: Registered Nurse
• Specialty: ICU
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Alternating weekends
• Call Requirements: As needed; must be within 30 minutes of the hospital when on call
• Required Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS
• Years of Experience: 1+
• Float Requirements: As needed; may be required to float to Medsurg, ER, etc.

Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: 6
• Patient Ratios: 2:1
• EHR: Medhost Clinicals
• Supervisor: Sara Sena, Director of Inpatient and Emergency Services
• Patient Population: Serves all ages

Hiring Profile:

• Must Have Skills/Experience: Ventilator management, titrating continuous medications, managing ICU patients
• Preferred Skillset/Experience: ICU
• Required Education: Associates; Certification/licensure required to work as an RN in NM

• Scrub Color: Any
• Any Unacceptable Attire: Casual wear

Orientation is weekly, on Mondays. Candidates must be 60 miles or greater to be considered for travel assignments. All travelers must have required certifications at submission as certifications are not available on site. The facility reserves the right to require certifications not listed. Please refer to the LPNT checklist for the most up-to-date requirements.

All clinical staff on assignment in the state of New Mexico must be fingerprinted before hire and provide documentation that the check is being processed. Travelers may start on a 14-day waiver while waiting on results but must be supervised. Required for all employees except physicians. Each agency needs to have an account with NM DOH. After account setup, your compliance teams will enter each clinician into the portal to start the background check process.
