Join a leading healthcare provider as a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) in the Operating Room (OR) in Charleston, WV. We are seeking experienced professionals with a passion for patient care and a commitment to excellence in surgical assistance.

Position Overview: As a CSFA, you will play a critical role in supporting surgical teams during cardiac procedures. Your expertise in vein harvesting and radial artery harvesting will be essential in delivering high-quality patient care. This position requires a strong background in cardiac surgery and proficiency in robotics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in cardiac surgeries, ensuring the highest standards of care.
• Participate in on-call duties, including weekday and weekend shifts.
• Support surgical teams in a fast-paced environment with an average of 5-6 cardiac/thoracic cases per day.
• Collaborate with medical staff to provide comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience as a Surgical First Assistant, with a focus on cardiac procedures.
• Required certifications: NBSTSA, NCCSA, or ABSA (CRNFA is not required).
• Ability to float within the facility as needed.
• Weekend and call requirements are mandatory.
• First-time travelers are welcome if they meet the experience criteria.

Special Requirements:

• Cardiac first assisting experience is required.
• Scrubs will be provided for the duration of your assignment.
• Must comply with the 100-mile radius rule; candidates within 75-99 miles will be considered.
• Pending West Virginia license is acceptable but must be obtained before starting.

Please note that the credentialing process can take up to 90 days, so candidates should be prepared for this timeline. We cannot accommodate start dates within 4 weeks of application.
