Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN in Labor & Delivery (L&D) in Smyrna, TN. This contract position offers an opportunity to provide exceptional care to laboring patients in a supportive and well-equipped environment.

Unit Specifics:

• Number of Beds: 9 L&D, 3 swing rooms, 2 ORs & 3 bed OBED
• Patient Ratios: 1-2
• Unit staffing includes: Unit Secretary, scrub tech, dedicated CRNA & midwife in-house 24/7, OBGYN on call
• Documentation System: CPN and Meditech
• Scheduling Requirements: 4 weekend shifts/month
• Floating Policy: May float to m/b or outside department to task
• Patient Experience Requirements: Remain above 75%

Hospital Specifics:

• Certifications Required: RN, ACLS, BLS, NRP, Fetal monitoring

Hiring Profile Requested Skill Set:

• Drive to provide the highest quality of care to our laboring patients.
• Ability to support patient choice and promote vaginal birth opportunities specific to patient preference.
• Advanced skills: Spinning babies helpful, STABLE also helpful.

Procedures Performed on Unit:

• Circulating in OR, IUPC, FSE, MgSO4, pp hemorrhage - JADA system, nitrous oxide

Dress Code: Hot pink and black (preferably hot pink on top).

• TIPQC Pilot hospital for NTSV and Team Birth

• Couplet care in postpartum unit to keep newborns at the bedside and promote breastfeeding with donor milk availability.
• 8 bed Level 2 NICU with NNP dedicated to the unit 24/7, available for all high-risk deliveries.
