Join our team as a PCU Registered Nurse in Columbus, OH, at a leading acute-care hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for RNs looking to make a difference in patient care within a busy surgical floor environment. Our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) provides care for both PCU and Med Surg patients, focusing on surgical oncology and other critical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with various diagnoses, including surgical oncology, hepatobiliary, colorectal, and plastics.
• Administer chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, and manage oncologic emergencies.
• Implement infection prevention protocols and monitor for patient falls.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and float within your scope of practice as needed.

Requirements:

• Overall 2 years of acute care nursing experience, with at least 1 year of PCU experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS certification preferred.
• ONS Chemo certification is a plus.

This position involves rotating shifts, and while the goal staffing ratio is 1:4, it may occasionally be 1:5 based on unit needs. Please note that all travelers may be required to float within their scope of practice. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time.
