The Cardiac ICU has a total of 16 beds and is staffed by a dedicated team of 60 professionals, ensuring a collaborative and supportive atmosphere.

Unit Information:

• Patient Ratios: 1 RN: 2 Patients
• Type of Equipment: Cardiac Monitoring, Ventilators, IV Pumps, Tube Feed Pumps, Swan
• EMR: Meditech

General Information:

The Cardiac ICU operates with both day and night shifts, featuring a structured team of RNs and support staff. Day shift includes 1 CNC/Charge RN, 8 RNs, and 1 PCT, while the night shift mirrors this staffing model. The unit is equipped with advanced technology and has 24/7 physician coverage, including intensivists and trauma surgeons, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Typical Procedures Performed:

• Intubations
• Central line placement

Skill Set Requirements:

Must Have: Minimum 1-year current ICU hospital experience, BLS, ACLS & NIH certification.

Preferred: Experience with neuro and medical ICU populations, prior Meditech experience.
