Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Contract RN in the Emergency Department (ER) in Live Oak, TX. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where patient care is the top priority. As an RN in the Emergency Department, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to patients in critical situations. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about nursing and have the skills necessary to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to patients in the ER.
- Participate in procedures such as conscious sedation, intubations, and behavioral health watch.
- Administer treatments and medications as prescribed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care using Meditech.
Requirements:
- Active TX RN License (temporary license will not be accepted).
- Must have PALS or ENPC, ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications.
- At least 2 years of ER experience is required.
- Preferred: CEN certification and Meditech experience.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Dress Code:
- Scrub Color: Navy (undershirts and jackets in white, navy, or black only).
- Nail Policy: No acrylic nails, must be clean and without chipped polish.
- Hair: Off shoulders and natural color.
- Tattoos: Should be covered whenever possible.
- Piercings: Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited.
This contract position is for 13 weeks, with shifts from 13:00 to 01:00, and includes guaranteed hours of 36 per week. We have 2 openings available for qualified candidates who are ready to make a difference in the lives of patients.
