Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Rapid Response RN in Labor & Delivery (L&D) in Austin, TX. We are seeking dedicated professionals ready to handle over 1,000 deliveries a month. This is a contract position for 6 weeks, requiring a commitment to excellence in patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide care for patients in Labor & Delivery, ensuring adherence to established protocols and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with a team of 150 staff members, including charge nurses and co-charge nurses, to maintain a 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratio.
• Utilize advanced medical equipment including Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, IUPC, FSE, Toco, and US.
• Document patient information using the Meditech EMR system.
• Participate in various procedures, including SVD, cerclages, C-Sections, and TOLAC.

Requirements:

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN (must be included in submission packet).
• Experience in SVE competency and C-Section circulation.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in Labor & Delivery.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Internal monitor placement competency.
• Previous assignments with HCA.
• Experience in a Level IV unit (high volume unit).

• Number of Beds: 32
• Patient Ratios: 1:2
• Day Shift Staffing: 1 charge nurse, 1 co-charge nurse, RNs
• Night Shift Staffing: 1 charge nurse, 1 co-charge nurse, RNs
