Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Telemetry unit. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced RNs looking to make a difference in patient care. With a focus on advanced pulmonary disease management, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing high-quality care.

As a Telemetry RN, you will work 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, with a 30-minute unpaid break. The position requires every other weekend and holiday rotation, with no block scheduling or self-scheduling. Travelers will be the first to float to similar units based on the facility's needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a patient load of 5-7 patients in a 32-bed unit.
• Provide specialized nursing care for surgical and medical-surgical patients, particularly those with advanced pulmonary diseases such as pneumonia and COPD.
• Administer IV pumps, telemetry, tracheostomy care, BiPAP/CPAP, and other critical interventions.
• Perform phlebotomy, venipuncture, and start IVs as necessary.
• Assist with patient transports and support ICU transfers.
• Wean patients off oxygen and manage nebulizer treatments.

Requirements:

• A minimum of two (2) years of specialty experience is required for an auto offer; candidates with at least one year may be screened to the manager.
• Current BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross) is required; can be obtained before the start date if necessary.
• A valid NYS nursing license is required; candidates can be screened to the manager without it.
• Nursys verification within the last 6 months is necessary.
• Prior travel experience is preferred but not mandatory.
