Key Responsibilities of the RN NICU:

Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill and premature neonates

Monitor vital signs, ventilators, and other life-support equipment

Administer medications, IV fluids, and nutrition as ordered

Perform thorough assessments and promptly respond to changes in patient condition

Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams

Educate families on neonatal care, procedures, and developmental support

Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety and infection-control standards

Requirements:

2 years of recent NICU RN experience

Active RN license (California or compact eligible)

BLS and NRP certifications required

Strong neonatal assessment and critical-thinking skills

Ability to work 12-hour day shifts
