Key Responsibilities of the Physical Therapist

Complete comprehensive evaluations and set measurable, functional goals
Design and administer tailored treatment programs focused on mobility, strength, balance, and independence
Utilize manual therapy, neuromuscular re‑education, therapeutic exercise, and functional training
Track and report objective outcomes; modify plans to maintain steady progress
Maintain precise documentation that meets facility and regulatory standards
Partner with PTAs, OTs, SLPs, nursing, and medical providers to coordinate care
Educate patients and families on home programs and long‑term maintenance

Requirements of the Physical Therapist

Active South Dakota PT license
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program

Recent experience in acute, SNF, rehab, or outpatient settings preferred
