• Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse – Med/Surg/Telemetry (Night Shift)
• Location: Albemarle, NC 28001 (Stanly County)
• Healthcare Setting: 35-bed Medical/Surgical Unit at a community hospital
• Contract Start Date: August 25, 2025
• Contract End Date: November 22, 2025
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:00am), 36 hours/week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
• Scrub Color: Navy
• Free Parking
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1570–$1680

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state (required for NC nursing jobs)
• At least 18 months of recent Med/Surg or Telemetry RN experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS)
• Proficient in post-op care, orthopedic nursing, TPN/PPN, stroke care, chest tube management, PIV starts, trach care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, NGT placement, drain/tube management, PCA pumps, wound care, and medication gtt management (cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, IV fluids)
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Ability to float to Med/Tele, ICU, PCU, and ED within the region
• Strong teamwork and adaptability skills

RN Responsibilities – Med/Surg/Tele Travel Nurse Jobs

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with stroke, CHF, COPD, respiratory illnesses, diabetes, post-surgical needs, and behavioral health conditions
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, and deliver patient education
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and monitor cardiac rhythms
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams including CNAs, charge nurses, phlebotomists, respiratory therapists, and hospitalists
• Float to other units and facilities within the region as needed, upholding high standards of patient care
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training to ensure compliance with hospital protocols
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
